The database now indexes over 37000 citations.

Change of host
In this period a new host was found, the database was transferred to the African Studies Centre, Leiden, The Netherlands, and to a new computer platform. The visual presentation and navigability were enhanced. Two new search options were developed, a 'search by language' option and a 'search by country' option which includes a link to the country profiles of the BBC. Internal database consistency was checked, leading to the removal of duplicate records.
