Abstract:Information is presented on 1,109 current research projects being carried out in 46 African countries. The arrangement is per country. Each project profile includes the following elements, where possible: institution, attachment, title of the research project, description, dates, researchers, publications, external financial sponsors. The following indexes are included: researchers, institutes, financial sponsors, broad subject categories of the research projects (French and English keywords based on the United Nations 'Macrothesaurus'), detailed subjects of the research projects (French and English keywords). A final section lists the addresses of institutes, of individual researchers, and of financial sponsors.
