Abstract:This book deals with the laws relating to the exploration and production of petroleum in Nigeria. Part 1 discusses the development of petroleum law, traditional grants of licences and leases, corporate insurance of joint venture activities, pollution, the sale and transportation of petroleum, and fiscal aspects of the law. Part 2 is an assemblage of the most pertinent petroleum enactments which jointly or separately have application on a daily basis to the operations of the oil exploration and production company. Laws and regulations have been reproduced in their amended forms and updated. The law is stated as at 30 December 1983.
