Abstract:	This handbook is a compilation and collation of information and data about higher educational resources and facilities available in various African countries for refugees. The first section after the introduction contains general information on the access of refugees to higher education in Africa. Articles cover certificates, standards, secondary school leaving certificates, equivalence of certificates, educational terminology, sponsorship and college applications. The main body of material in the handbook is arranged college by college under countries, which are listed alphabetically. Information on individual colleges and institutions in each country is preceded by an introductory article about the educational system of the country, especially the aspects of it relevant to a refugee student applicant. The text is reproduced in English as well as in French.
