Abstract:Compilation of African human rights documents which brings together all the important conventions, resolutions, declarations and recommendations of both international and regional institutions and groupings relating to human rights in Africa. Part I contains African instruments, part II instruments on Southern Africa, part III global instruments. Part IV is devoted to communications concerning human rights (resolutions of the United Nations Economic and Social Council, its Commission on Human Rights and its Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities). A bibliography on human rights in English and French can be found in part V. Part VI contains the appendices, showing the status of ratification of treaties by African countries and their reservations, declarations and objections.
