Abstract: | In trying to identify concrete issues which should form the basis of consistent economic policies in Nigeria, the author describes the development of appropriate promotional programmes for small-scale industry as a viable option in national development. The potentials and limitations of small-scale industry development in Nigeria are reviewed from the literature and the successes of dynamic small-scale industry policies in some Asian countries highlighted. Innovative funding strategies derived from the experience of industry in general are suggested for Nigeria. Bibliogr. |
