Abstract:	This national directory of adult education providers in Sierra Leone includes those organizations and institutions, both local and international agencies, involved in adult education, health education, agricultural training, vocational and skills training. The data are organized by region and each entry provides information on the name and address of the institution in question, historical background, organizational structure, objectives, activities, affiliations and publications. The directory concentrates on the so-called modern, institutionalized and organized forms of adult education. Not covered are the traditional sector of education and training which prepares chiefs, herbalists, traditional birth attendants, blacksmiths, farmers, hunters, fishermen, storytellers and musicians, and the steadily growing sector of informal and non-formal adult education, such as vocational training for wayside mechanics, electricians, tailors, shoemakers, carpenters and masons.
