| Abstract: | The author has compiled an account of the life, trial and death of the 19-year-old Andrew Zondo. She pieces together the story of how the township child becomes threatened teenager and then trained cadre of the underground ANC who sets out to revenge the killings by the South African security forces in Mozambique and Lesotho. Convicted of planting a bomb at a shopping centre near Durban, South Africa, which killed five people, Andrew Zondo was executed in Pretoria on 9 September 1986. |
