Abstract:This volume is one of a series of UNITAR studies in regional and interregional co-operation. The reports are the result of the work carried out by the research network created for that UNITAR programme. The first four chapters concern themselves with regional and subregional co-operation in sub-Saharan Africa. Chapter 5 examines the recent patterns of Arab-African co- operation. Chapters 7 through 11 focus on co-operation among all Arab countries. Chapters 6 and 12 deal with the co-operation between European countries of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance (CMEA) and Africa respectively the Arab world.
