| Abstract: | Beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) are widely consumed by rural and urban populations of Tanzania. The authors investigated the importance of the crop among 58 families in Kilosa district and 59 families in Mgeta district of the Morogoro Region, both areas in which beans are grown by a majority of farm families.
