| Abstract: | The Regional Symposium on International Efforts to Implement Decree No. 1 for the Protection of the Natural Resources of Namibia, adopted by the United Nations Council for Namibia on 27 September 1974, was held at Geneva in August 1984. The Symposium sought not only to coordinate action in Western Europe against the continued plunder of Namibia's natural resources but also to promote further cooperation between the Council and nongovernmental organizations, national support groups, trade unions, scholars and prominent personalities concerned with this question.
