Abstract: | This paper examines the way in which the Gbagyi-speaking people of Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria, use story telling to articulate their established cultural concerns about the nature of reality and, therefore, the reality of nature. Analysis of Gbagyi folktales reveals the importance they attach to compassion, honesty, hard work, cooperation, perserverance and resourcefulness. Notes, ref. |
