Abstract:For more than sixty years, Margery Perham was one of the world's most influential African scholars and publicists. Most of her books, including 'The colonial reckoning' (1961) and 'The life of Lord Lugard' (1956, 1960), still are classics in the field. Her 'Native administration in Nigeria' (1937) was the first scholarly study of indirect rule. When she died on 19 February 1982 at the age of 86, her family deposited her private papers at Rhodes House, Oxford. This bibliography of her published works complements the Rhodes House collection. The entries have been arranged alphabetically in two sections: books, and articles.
