Abstract: | Description of the task of the Women's Promotion Division of the Malian National Cooperatives Board. The division seeks to facilitate the development of cooperatives in women's productive activities. It mobilizes women to participate in cooperatives in agriculture, animal husbandry, wood collection, fishing, plant gathering, handicrafts and savings. Cooperatives in gardening, dyeing, and pottery have already been set up in rural communities while sewing, soap, and agro-pastoral cooperatives have been set up in the Bamako region. The programme is an attempt to educate women in cooperative principles and help them with common problems such as finance, management and administration, marketing, and supplies. Notes. |
