Abstract:This issue of 'Orita' brings together papers presented at the 20th Annual Religious Studies Conference, held under the auspices of the Department of Religious Studies, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. At the conference, leaders and teachers of Nigeria's three main religions - African traditional religion, Christianity and Islam - discussed the theme 'religion, crime and national survival'. Most papers dealt with the relationship between religion and crime in Nigeria in general; one included a case study devoted to religious symbols and crime control among the Annang of Akwa Ibom State.
