Abstract:Professor Bogumil Witalis Andrzejewski (1922-1994) was a leading authority on the languages and oral literature of the Somali and Oromo people living in the Horn of Africa. He was also a renowned poet and twice received an award for his literary activity: in 1986 the prize of the Union of Polish Writers Abroad and in 1987 the prize of the London News. A brief outline of his career is followed by a bibliography of his publications, including his creative writing in Polish.
