Abstract: | This report is the result of two studies, one dealing with the nature and key determinants of rural water use, and the other with sanitation behaviour in eastern Caprivi (Namibia). The rural water utilization study examines community behaviour with respect to existing water supply facilities. The study of sanitation behaviour considers the rationale behind prevailing sanitation and hygiene practices. Data collection was undertaken between 24 September and 13 October 1994 in 14 communities. |
