| Abstract: | The Anlo form part of the Ewe-speaking people who traditionally reside in the Volta Region of Ghana. In this article, the author describes the prohibitions that traditionally pertain to sexual life among the Anlo, the reasons for them, the consequences of violating them, and the sort of moral society they are meant to create and sustain, under the broad headings of premarital sex, marriage and sex, extramarital affairs, and taboos relating to the time and place of sexual intercourse.
