Most of the datable material probably of the sixteenth century; a little is later. No earlier sites have yet been found in this region. The sites are described from south to north: Ras Kiambone (2 sites) - Kiskichini - Hannassa - Myaandi - Ras Bar Balla - Maanaraani (Mnarani) - Veko - Bur Gavo (properly Buur Gaabo).
