Abstract:Review of the Presidential and Ministerial decrees issued during the period April/June 1972, relating to economic, monetary and financial matters. These decrees complement those issued earlier in the year regarding economic and monetary matters and the encouragement of saving by A.R.E. nationals whether resident at home or working abroad. Payment for imports without transfer of currency: Decree no. 334/1972 issued by the Minister of Economic Affairs and Foreign Trade on 20-4-1972 - Prohibition of dealing in imported luxury goods: Decree no. 109/1972 (3-5-1972) of the Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, amending some of the provisions of Decree No. 66/1972 - Jihad Bonds: Decree no. 150/1972 (3-5-1972) of the Treasury Minister entrusting the Central Bank of Egypt with the issuance of Jihad Bonds worth EŁ 10 m., in addition to the amount stipulated by Decree no. 53/1972 savings of Egyptian nationals employed abroad: Decrees no. 389/1972 and 390/1972 (both 10-5-1972) of the Minister of Economic Affairs and Foreign Trade, with purpose of organising and attracting such savings.
