Abstract: | This paper concerns itself, first, with a brief description and evaluation of the 'necessary remedies' prescribed by various UN bodies concerned with Namibia; second, with a more detailed evaluation of the 'plan for recovery' embodied in the UN's turn toward negotiation with South African resolution 309 submitted by the Secretary-General to the Security Council in 1972. Sections: the mandate ends: 1966 and after - South Africa and Namibia - a commitment to action and South Africa's response. Notes. |
