| Abstract: | These notes describe the social characteristics of three men successively responsible for the management of a mechanisation project in Lesotho. The project, known as Farmech, was initiated in 1961 by one of the nine newly constituted District Councils (see: Sandra Wallman, the Farmech Scheme: Basutoland (Lesotho), in Africa Affairs, 67 (1968), 267, p. 112-117). |
