Abstract:The predominance of powerful consortiums of South African, English and American capital is one of the characteristics of Southern Africa. Namibia may be considered as one of the countries most affected by the exploitation carried on by international capital. There are 44 foreign firms today, summed up in the article (Companies currently doing business in Namibia; Companies currently prospecting in Namibia). An analysis is made of the two largest foreign companies: 1. The 'Consolidated Diamond Mines of S.W. Africa' (CDM) and 2. Tsumeb Corporation, Ltd.
