Abstract:	This paper deals with the problem of income distribution in the Sudan, especially the 'growth and inequality' aspect. In the first section a general overview of the measures of inequality is presented. The second discusses some aspects of the Sudanese income distribution and the third compares the Sudan with other developing countries. Finally, in the fourth some concluding remarks are offered. Unless otherwise stated, the Sudane results in the body of the paper are based on the Household Budget Survey of 1967-68. Graph., ref., tab.
