Abstract: | The author first outlines the social organisation of the Mbeere and their system of land-tenure. He continues with the government's programme of land reform (containing land adjudication, consolidation and registration) which causes a lot of problems and disputes. Finally he describes the probable changes in the traditional social organisation as a consequence of these reforms. Ref., notes, tables, map, summary. |
