Abstract:This paper examines the problems that have arisen and/or are likely to arise given the nature and intents of Nigeria's Indigenisation Act 1977. It is the second part of the article on 'Indigenisation Policy and the Development of Private Enterprise in Nigeria' by W,.A. Ndongko (Afrika Spectrum, 15(1980), 1, p. 53/71 which focused mainly on the evolutionary, objectivist, and functional nature of Nigeria's 'Indigenisation Act'. The present work, proceeding from the examination of management problems, technology transfer problems, financial problems, compliance/deviance problems to manpower problems, is concluded by a brief discourse on the prospects of the Indigenisation Act in the light of the problems discussed.
