Abstract: | The article examines, discusses and appraises the general background, and the implications of the incorporation of elopement, originally a customary offence, into the Uganda Penal Code. It also interprets this new section 121 A of the Penal Code. In the end some general legal and social problems, created by the insertion of elopement in the Penal Code, are exposed. |
