Abstract:	This study deals with the question of whether or not some change is needed in the traditional system of land tenure in the Swasi areas. The author was able to obtain the news of a group of 'progressive' Swasi on this question. A discussion of the short essays produced by these Swasi in answer to this question provides the main subject-matter for this paper. References; french summary.
