Abstract: | In a random sample during 1975 of 384 commercial drivers who either started or ended their journeys in Accra, data were gathered about their social characteristics and problems, their marital situation and leisure activities, as well as the extent of their occupational satisfaction. In the course of discovering the meanings of these inscriptions, it was decided to find out if they served as useful windows or mirrors through which the drivers and owners viewed their work and life in Ghana.
