Abstract:Detailed study of movement in four communities in Ekiti Division, Nigeria, based on interviews with individuals and families living in the area. For the porpose of analysis, migration was defined as the special movement and residence away from a place of origin for six months or more except that all moves for farm labouring were included regardless of the length of time spent away. The results are presented in two separate parts. Part 1 refers to moves other than farm labouring, while part 2 deals with migration for farm labouring work. Tables, bibl.
