Abstract:Summary of legislation providing for important changes in the structure of government and proposals for the introduction of common roll elections recently approved by the Zanzibar Legisl. Council. The Arab unofficial members, who withdrew from the Councils proceedings in June 1954 and refused to co-operate in discussions on future constitutional advance, have resumed their seats and Arab agreement to the new legislation and proposals has been obtained.
