Abstract:In this paper an attempt is made to study intersectoral relations in the Kenyan economy using an input-output table. The various types of sectoral linkages are calculated to study comprehensively the interdependence between agricultural and nonagricultural sectors. The sectors are ranked on the basis of their degree of effect on other sectors. Finally, the Leontief model is used to measure the impact of any change in final demand in generating additional output and employment in various sectors of the economy. App., notes, tab.
