Abstract:The subject of population education lends i tself to a multi-sectoral approach which links population and rural development. Population education needs to be integrated into those subjects and training programmes which target groups such as rural development personnel will cover as part of their specialized training. Such an integration provides an ideal environment for inter-agency collaboration. To illustrate this multi-sectoral rural training strategy population education programmes in Kenya are described.
