Abstract: | The author, who was Peace Corps Director in Morocco from May, 1963 until August, 1964 describes the activities and experiences of it in Morocco. He points out the shortcomings and suggests some means to improve. The task of the Peace Corps in Morocco is a difficult one: to establish a place for itself in those areas which permit maximum and continuous contact between the volunteers and the people, where frustations are real rather than imposed, where the people rather than the government stand to benefit, and where a high level of volunteer morale and motivation can best be maintained. |
