Abstract: | The purpose of this paper is to discover the degree to which the white-collar group of workers is spatially separated from the blue-collar category in a developing country, Nigeria. Another objective is to discover the degree of dissimilarity among all major occupational groups in Nigeria and to compare this to what has been known to exist in the West. Finally, the degree of interregional dissimilarity in occupational stratifications is examined and discussed from the point of view of regional employment stability and national development goals.
