Abstract:The subject was approached from two perspectives: 1. - An analysis (based on a questionnaire) of the facilities available in the Cape Peninsula for eight types of disabled people. 2. Disability from the perspective of the 'consumer'. In a final section several strategies for the future are examined with due care being taken to remain realistic in terms of economic limitations.
