Abstract:An exploration of what poverty means in relation to the household, of how people become poor, and of how the dynamics of impoverishment at the household level may be assessed and measured. One way of identifying vulnerable groups in relation to poverty is to assess both economic and social damage to household integrity in a local population, and then economic change at the regional level.
