Abstract:The paper proposes a dynamic, constantly changing and growing model developed at Grassroots Educational Trust. Through the provision of preschool facilities Grassroots prepares socially disadvantaged children for social change, giving them a reasonable change to compete in a meritocratic society. The curriculum adopted is that of conventional early childhood education which lays strong emphasis on play. The interventionist strategy in the model is directed at both the parents and the children.
