Abstract:The author analyses two problems of overseas agriculture: erosion and settlement. He maintains that it is possible to intensify the exploitation of the land in tropical regions and not to ruin the soil if scientific methods are used. He also maintains that it is advantagous for the improvement of agriculture to encourage white settlement in overseas territories, illustrations.
