Abstract:Special investigations and a certain number of development activities (program) concerning traditional technologies have already been started by action agencies in Mali. Inspired by existing technological capital, these organisms are striving to complete their information or to promote development activities. The main examples gathered in that concern are the following: CMDT (Malian Textile Development Company), OACV (Operation Groundnut and Food Crops), 'Mopti-Fish' (popular ovens for smoking fish), Offices of Rural Engineering and Housing (improving construction material), Office of Animal Husbandry and the OMBEVI (Malian Office of Livestock and Meat), Hydraulics Office, Institute of Pharmacopeia and Traditional Medical Research, Progress and Peace Corps, Division of Historical and Ethnological Heritage, Art Institute. These cases demonstrate the interest already invested in traditional technologies and their utilization. A census should be used as a tool of information. Notes.
