Abstract: | The aim of this study is to demonstrate that the long-run solution to the economic development problem of most if not all, Arab countries lies in industrialisation. However, in their attempt to industrialise on an adequate scale, these countries could be faced with a serious problem of market limitation. The study shows that to overcome this problem, some form of economic integration between the Arab countries may prove necessary The Arab world comprises all Arab speaking countries, namely: Algeria Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates; Yemen Arab Republic and Yemen People's Democratic Republic.
