The present survey likewise encompasses Angola Burundi, Central African Republic, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Rwanda and Zaire; in addition, Cameroun and the southern part of Chad are also considered. The chronological scope includes the Iron Age and the later phase of the Late Stone Age. The usual conventions are followed in citing radiocarbon dates. Dates not previously published in this Journal are listed in the appendix by laboratory numbers, which are also used to identify determination mentioned in the text. App., map, notes, French sum. |
