| Abstract: | Bende Division of the East Central State presents a peculiar soil erosion problem that merits a detailed study but which has not hitherto been given due attention. This is the phenomenon of 'village erosion'. The paper seeks to analyse the features of 'village erosion' at Ozuitem. First the causes of the erosion are examined, then its consequences and, finally, measures aimed at its effective control are suggested. Fig., pl., ref. |
