Abstract: | After having discussed the role of Amilcar Cabral, the Secretary-General of the PAIGC and the structure of PAIGC, the author examines the present position of Portugal in Guinea. He contends that a Portuguese defeat can have strategic consequences for NATO, and that Portugal's presence is vital to the resolution of suspicion and tension between the races. On some points he contradicts Basil Davidson. |
