Abstract: | Various studies based on consumption surveys carried out in a number of countries clearly indicate that, even when a population's average intake of foods and nutriments has reached the minimum recommended rate, a frequently sizeable percentage of the population remain whose needs are not covered. In fact, so broad is the range of intakes combining to yield the average intake that, for the socio-economically poorer classes, the recommended rates are never achieved. Morocco is a case in point.
