Abstract: | The purpose of this article on formal education in African countries is the articulation by means of analysis, of some ideas that can be used as a framework for new educational programs in developing nations. The author hopes that this exercise may generate some thinking and discussion on African education and contribute toward that critical dialogue regarding educational goals and planning in the new nations.
