Abstract:This article describes the several stages of Liberia's economy. The development of Liberia's economy started when Tubman forced the till 1944 closed door open, Tubnian's open-door policy stimulated foreign activity. During the past decades of the open-door policy all sectors of the economy have undergone great changes. This is forcefully demonstrated by the over-all rise in the budget from $ 750,000 to $ 50 million in 1963. References.
