Discussion of the specification and stability of the demand function for money and the issue primarily related to it, the transmission process of monetary influences; 3. Discussion of the ability of the monetary authorities to control the supply of money; 4. Attempt to construct a general model considered appropriate for LDCs; 5. Concluding remarks. Inter alia figures are given regarding Algeria, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Sudan. Ref., notes, tables. Summaries: English p. 547-548, French p. 557, Spanish p. 567.
