Abstract:The present article draws on data collected from a variety of methods and sampled groups, largely in, the Nairobi area, on child workers in the household. A model for interpreting the possible interrelationships between child labour and delinquency is drawn up. From this model, case histories taken from official records and concerned with 'theft by servant' offenses are analysed. Delinquent in this article refers only to a young person who became involved in an illegal activity for which he was subsequently tried and sentenced, in this case, 'theft by servant'. Commentary p. 193-194. Notes, ref.
