Abstract: | Capital goods in Rhodesia are both scare and expensive, consequently existing capital is relatively old and highly utilised. This article examines the measurable quantities in the production function for the classification ofmanufacturing industries, in aggregate, in an attempt to explain the relatively high rates of growth - particularly noticeable since 1969. Sections: An analytical preamble - Rhodesian experience - Capital stock and output per head - Capital and technical change - Productivity of labour - Conclusion. Notes, tables, diagrams. |
